Young people who are Looked After and are above statutory school age remain part of St Helen's Virtual School as a Post-16 student. This is in line with government requirements that all young people in England must continue in education or employment with training until the age of 18, and/or the end of Year 13.
This does not mean they must stay in school and there are many different options available such as:
- Further Education
- Sixth Form Colleges
- Training Providers
- Apprenticeships
- Employment
