Aspiration Pathway

secondary phone

The Aspiration Pathway

has been devised in conjunction with the Corporate Parenting group as a way of ensuring that all the children we look after have high aspirations both within school and beyond their school years.

A 'champion' should be identified in the school, for the child who is looked after, to ensure that plans are put in place to ensure that their aspirations can be worked towards.

The Aspiration Pathway document (opposite) is completed on an annual basis and is then reviewed termly on the PEP document.

The pathway can be started at any point (eg: what child's interests are on the left leading to what they aspire to or what they want to aspire to and then recording what steps need to be taken to get to that point).

The 'champion' in school can look out for opportunities to support the child or young person to achieve these aspirations (eg: after school clubs linked to the aspiration; careers advice available; activities in school to support the aspiration)
